There’s a lot of cruise-related stuff which doesn’t really fit neatly into a box.
So we’ve created this section to cover those.
All the external links will open in a new tab – so it’ll be easy to get back to this page.
We hope you find something useful.
Similar to our own website, Cruising Mates is an independent source of useful cruise information.
It has a great forum where you can ask questions and learn from the seasoned cruisers.
If you’re looking for a cruise blog, Cruise Miss is a good place to start.
Danielle’s first cruise in 2007 was exactly the opposite of what she’d been led to believe it would be like. On her blog, she recalls: “It was fun and full of energy…”
What we particularly like about Cruise Miss is its consistency, with regular blog posts. And there’s a section for people who are new to cruising. You can check it out here.
Here’s another helpful blog.
When Cruise1st got in touch about popping a link on here to their website, I was a bit reluctant. Would their blog be just about promoting their cruises?
So I was pleasantly surprised when I checked it out. It’s a really helpful blog with some great information. I learned some useful stuff. Well done, Cruise1st.
The Art of Making Towel Animals
If you’ve already been on a cruise, you might have experienced those towel-animals.
We first came across this art when we arrived in our cabin one evening …and found a crab sitting there on the bed, made for us by our cabin steward using just a towel.
Anyway, we’ve found a set of videos teaching you how to do this. There’s an on-line version. And there’s also a DVD set – but that’s only available in the US. If you want to check them out, they’re here.
ULTIMATE GUIDE TO CRUISING
Virgin Cruises have come up with what they’ve called their Ultimate Guide to Cruising.
It looks at accessibility, cruise etiquette, what to pack, and lots of other topics.
You can find it on their website here.
But if you’re looking for cruise special offers…
